Cornerstone Insurance Plc is strengthening its offering of long-term financial protection for families through solutions designed to help breadwinners secure the financial future of their dependants while building savings over time.

One of the company’s offerings is the Cornerstone Flexi Plan, an endowment policy that combines life protection and savings with flexible premium payment options.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Insurance Plc, Mr Stephen Alangbo, said the product was structured to accommodate the different financial capacities of Nigerians.

According to him, “The Cornerstone Flexi is an endowment policy that offers a lump sum amount on maturity of the contract or upon the death of the policyholder.”
Alangbo explained that policyholders can choose how frequently they make premium payments, with options including annual, bi-annual, quarterly and monthly payments.

Another feature of the plan is its loan facility, which enables policyholders to access up to 70 per cent of the policy’s surrender value after the policy has remained active for at least two years.

The Flexi Plan is available over six, nine, 12 and 15-year periods, with a minimum sum assured of N1 million.

At maturity, policyholders are also entitled to a three per cent payable bonus, which adds to the overall value of the policy.

The plan provides financial protection for beneficiaries if the insured dies before the policy reaches maturity. In such an event, named beneficiaries receive the full sum assured together with any accrued bonuses.

Policyholders can also utilise the loan facility after two years, providing access to funds when required while allowing the policy to remain in force.
