The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, on Wednesday, announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit, well known as petrol, by N65.00. This means the price will drop from N890 to N825 per litre, effective Thursday, February 27, 2025.
According to a statement on Wednesday, by the local refinery, this recent price reduction will ensure that Nigerians pay between N860 and N865 per litre for petrol at the pump in Lagos.
The statement reads partly, “This strategic price adjustment is intended to ease the financial burden on Nigerians, particularly in anticipation of the Ramadan season, while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery initiatives.”
However, this marks the second price reduction of PMS in February 2025, following a last decrease of N60.00 earlier in the month.
