The Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission (FCT-CSC) has rejected an online post circulating on social media that claims there are 3,000 job openings within the commission.
In a statement issued by the FCT-CSC management, the post was labeled as “fake news” and identified as the work of scammers trying to mislead unwitting job seekers.
The commission advised the public to verify any recruitment information by visiting its headquarters at the APDC Building, located behind the Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS) complex in the Central Business District of Abuja.
The statement reads, “The attention of the Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission, FCT-CSC, has been drawn to an Online publication/ advertisement circulating on social media platforms requesting prospective job applicants to apply for a non-existent ‘3,000 job vacancies.’
“We wish to state emphatically that the publication is FAKE NEWS. It is the handiwork of fraudsters who intend to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, especially job seekers.
“The FCT-CSC, therefore, wishes to inform the public to disregard such unauthentic information. It is false and has nothing to do with the FCT -CSC.
For the avoidance of doubt, the general public can fact-check at the Commission Headquarters.
