FG announces public holidays for Eid-ul-Adha

The Federal Government has designated Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this on behalf of the Federal Government.

He extended his congratulations to all Muslim communities, both locally and internationally, for the occasion.

He urged the Muslim Ummah to continue embracing the spirit of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him) and to use this time for prayers for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

In a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani, the Minister assured Nigerians that the people-focused reforms and initiatives are part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration, aimed at putting Nigeria back on a path to progress.

While wishing the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-ul- Adha celebration, the Minister urged all Nigerians to join hands with the present administration in its efforts to restore the glory of Nigeria as a great nation.
