FG bolsters financial system via NRS-CREDICORP partnership

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its dedication to fortifying the nation’s financial and fiscal framework through strategic inter-agency collaboration.
This commitment shone through during a courtesy visit by Dr Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Nigerian Revenue Service (NRS), to the headquarters of the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) in Abuja.
The high-level engagement according to a statement by Presideny on Saturday centered on data integration, policy alignment, and institutional cooperation.
Key priorities included boosting tax compliance, improving credit transparency, and broadening access to structured, responsible consumer credit.
Both agencies pledged to advance an efficient, accountable, and inclusive financial ecosystem.
It further noted that the partnership aligns with the Federal Government’s economic development agenda, emphasising, “The engagement focused on data integration, policy alignment, and institutional cooperation aimed at improving tax compliance, enhancing credit transparency, and expanding access to structured and responsible consumer credit.”
Officials from both NRS and CREDICORP reaffirmed their resolve, with the statement concluding, “Both agencies are reaffirming their commitment to building an efficient, accountable, and inclusive financial ecosystem.”
