In a groundbreaking move inspired by American sports traditions, FIFA has officially announced that winners of the FIFA World Cup will receive custom championship rings.
According to FIFA, 30 rings will be produced for the world champion team, while an additional 1,996 rings will be made available for sale to fans.
This marks the first time in World Cup history that such commemorative jewelry will be awarded.
The decision aligns FIFA more closely with leagues like the NFL, NBA, and MLB, where championship rings have long served as prestigious symbols of victory.
