Nigeria’s Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele has met with Aviation and Aerospace Development Minister Festus Keyamo, for urgent talks on the aviation sector’s challenges, particularly the recent surge in aviation fuel prices.
In a post on X, Oyedele detailed the “constructive discussions” at the Federal Ministry of Finance, focusing on how rising fuel costs are disrupting airline operations and driving up ticket prices.
The ministers also identified opportunities to enhance sector efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness.
“Our focus remains on ensuring a more sustainable, efficient, and competitive aviation industry that supports economic activity and connectivity,” Oyedele wrote.
