Galatasaray secures Osimhen on loan from Napoli

Turkish side Galatasaray and Napoli have reached an agreement for a one-year loan deal involving Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The Turkish club will cover Osimhen’s salary, estimated at €9-10 million, for the duration of the loan.
The deal does not include an option or obligation for Galatasaray to sign Osimhen permanently after the loan expires.
This was confirmed by transfer specialist and journalist, Fabrizio Romano on Monday.
He wrote on X (formally Twitter), “Galatasaray have agreed to cover €9/10m as salary of Victor Osimhen until the end of the season. Loan deal agreed with Napoli does not include any buy option/obligation clause. Mission in Napoli to get Victor’s green light.”
In another post, he said, “Galatasaray have booked a flight for Victor Osimhen if all goes to plan with the player.
“The loan deal is done and agreed with Napoli, details still being completed on Osimhen’s side before his travel to Istanbul.”
With the top five European leagues having closed their transfer windows, Turkey remains one of the few options for clubs to finalise late deals.
Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray comes after a fallout with Napoli, following failed transfer attempts to Saudi Arabia and Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
