Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal as Manchester City defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the first Manchester derby of the 2026/27 Premier League season on Sunday.

Phil Foden was sent off in the 23rd minute for violent conduct, leaving City with 10 men for the majority of the match at Old Trafford.

Haaland still found the net in the 60th minute, with the goal confirmed after a VAR review, securing all three points for the visitors.

The result extends City’s perfect start to the campaign with four wins from four Premier League games.

Haaland now has six goals in his last four matches.
