Harvesters Center’s Pastor refutes fraud allegations

The lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, Bolaji Idowu, has reacted to allegations circulating online linking him to involvement in a N1.5 billion real estate fraud.

The cleric debunked the claims during his “Next Level Prayers” session on Wednesday.

Reports had earlier on Tuesday circulated that Idowu had been detained in Abuja by operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation Department over his purported involvement in real estate fraud.

Idowu thereby described the allegations as unfounded and misleading, claiming that he has no business  in the real estate business.

He could be heard on videos shared on social media saying, “Over the last 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to state some facts.

“I heard that I was involved in real estate. Firstly, I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have in Nigeria is the one bequeathed to me by my late parents. Secondly, I do not sell or buy properties. I am not in that business.

“Someone said I received billions into my account. My accounts are public; you can check if I have ever received billions in them. It is just a lot of things going on in the press, but this is not the forum to address that.

“I want to thank all of you that showed a lot of love. We are victorious.”
