Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared his readiness to defend the country and sacrifice his life if needed.

While speaking, Pezeshkian said, “We have always been ready, and we will always sacrifice our lives for the Revolution and the people.”

The statement came as Iran staged a large government-organized “Self-Sacrifice” (Janfada) military exercise and rally in Tehran.

Iranian authorities claimed more than 300,000 people took part in the capital, describing it as a show of national resolve and volunteer readiness.

The rally forms part of the broader Janfada campaign, launched earlier in 2026 amid heightened tensions with the United States and Israel.

Officials have reported millions of Iranians registering their willingness to defend the country, with the initiative framed by Tehran as a display of unity and deterrence during ongoing regional conflict.

Senior figures, including Pezeshkian, have previously added their names to the volunteer lists.
