Cristiano Ronaldo has fired a confident warning to his critics as Portugal build toward the 2026 World Cup, insisting his fitness and form are strong and expressing big belief in the current national-team generation.
“I feel very good. Haven’t you been watching the games?” Ronaldo said in an interview released ahead of the tournament, directly challenging doubters who have questioned his readiness.
The veteran forward underscored that recent performances should silence concerns over his physical condition.
Ronaldo also voiced optimism for Portugal’s prospects in North America.
“We go to this World Cup with a lot of hope. This generation will give Portugal great things,” he said, signalling faith in a squad that blends established stars with younger talent.
The remarks come as Portugal complete their final preparations and friendlies before finalising their World Cup squad.
