‘I don’t care about his hair,’ Cunha cuts down United Fan’s haircut streak

Manchester United attacker Matheus Cunha has poured cold water on a viral fan’s “haircut pledge,” calling it unmotivating amid the team’s push for five straight wins.
The Brazilian forward dismissed the gimmick outright, prioritising the 15 points on offer over the fan’s long locks.
“People are more worried about getting five wins because of the haircut than about the 15 points,” Cunha said.
“So, I’m more for the 15 points, I don’t care about his haircut at all. We talk about it sometimes, but it’s not very motivating for us. We don’t see it as cool,” he added.
The backstory traces to fan “The United Strand,” whose refusal to cut his hair since Manchester United’s winless streak began in late 2024 has become a meme symbolising supporter frustration.
