A coordinated operation involving the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force and the military has freed eight people abducted around Millennium City and Marabar Rido in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The victims were rescued between 31 October and 2 November 2026 in operations conducted with support from the Kaduna State Government.

Addressing a press conference at the DSS Command headquarters in Kaduna, Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu said the operation formed part of “sustained efforts to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks behind recurring abductions in Millennium City and its environs.”

The rescued individuals are: Jamila Muhammad, 27 (wife of Abdulkadir Bello); Talatu Yakubu, 40; Yunana Bawa, 30; Calista Bishop, 27; Chidinma Onuwere, 36; Eucharia Obi, 41; Godiya Victor, 50; and eight-year-old Miracle Alex.

Rabiu noted that the breakthrough follows the earlier rescue of Ahmad Zakka and members of his family on 15 October 2026.

He said the successive successes demonstrated the agencies’ determination to free victims and dismantle kidnapping networks across the state.

He acknowledged the strategic coordination by ONSA, operational support from the police, intelligence efforts by the DSS and the military’s involvement.

He also commended Governor Uba Sani and the Kaduna State Government, adding that the operations reflected President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to national security.

The commissioner urged residents to remain vigilant and share credible intelligence on suspected kidnappers and bandits, assuring that such information would be treated confidentially.

He further appealed to traditional rulers, community leaders and the media to support the campaign and avoid publishing unverified reports that could undermine operations.
