Klopp signs contract as New Germany coach

Jürgen Klopp has officially signed on as the new head coach of the German national team, with the German Football Association (DFB) set to unveil him today in a press conference.

The 59-year-old German icon agreed to a deal running through July 2030, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann after Germany’s early exit from the 2026 World Cup.

Klopp, renowned for his high-energy, passionate style that transformed Liverpool during nearly a decade at Anfield (including a Champions League title in 2019 and Premier League glory in 2020), stepped away from club management in 2024.

His return to the sidelines in a national team role marks a major boost for German football as it rebuilds toward the 2028 European Championship and 2030 World Cup.
