@64: Kwara gov congratulates BUA founder

The Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has feliciatated with the founder and Chairman of the BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, on the occasion of his 64th birthday.
The governor in a statement on Sunday eveningby his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the people of Kwara State owe the businessman a debt of gratitude for not just his huge investments in the state but also for his friendship and philanthropy which has seen him help the state at different times.
The statement partly reads, “The Governor lists such support to include his impressive donations to the state during the COVID-19 pandemic and his donation of a N2.5bn oncology centre, which is under construction in the capital city Ilorin, among others.
“Of particular significance is the decision of Alhaji Rabiu’s BUA Group to key into the Federal Government’s tax initiative under which close to 300 kilometres of solid roads are being constructed in different parts of the state, including Bode Saadu/Kaiama/Kosubosu road, Lafiagi-Bacita road, Okuta-Bukuro road, and Eiyenkorin-Offa-Odo Otin road, according to the Governor.”
The governor according to the statement beseeched God to continue to bless and preserve Rabiu and his family upon goodness.
Abdul Samad Rabiu is a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist. According to a report, he is the second richest man in Nigeria.
