The coronation rites began at the Ose Meji Temple in Ibadan South-East Local Government, followed by the presentation of the symbolic Akoko leaf at Labosinde Compound, Oja’ba.
Governor Seyi Makinde officially handed over the staff and instruments of office to the new monarch during a grand ceremony at Mapo Hall, which was attended by national dignitaries including President Bola Tinubu as the special guest of honour.
Oba Ladoja thanked Ibadan residents for their steadfast support and pledged a reign focused on peace, unity, and dedicated service.
He succeeds the late Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan, who died on July 7, 2025.
