Leeds United and Manchester United shared the points in a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Elland Road on Sunday in the Premier League, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s second-half equaliser denying the visitors a much-needed victory.

Bryan Mbeumo put Manchester United ahead in the 35th minute, finishing a low cross from Youri Tielemans.

Leeds levelled six minutes after the restart when Calvert-Lewin pounced on a knockdown from Tarik Muharemovic following a corner to make it 1-1.

The result leaves Manchester United still searching for their second league win of the 2026/27 season.

They have now gone 49 days without a Premier League victory and sit on seven points from seven matches (one win, four draws, two defeats), placing them 13th in the table.

It is the club’s worst start to a top-flight campaign since the 1986/87 season.

Pressure has been mounting on Carrick after a string of underwhelming performances, including draws against lower-table sides and struggles even when opponents were reduced to 10 men.

Leeds, managed by Daniel Farke, sit higher in the table on 10 points and remain unbeaten at home.

The Yorkshire club continue their long wait for a first home win over Manchester United in 24 years in this traditional rivalry fixture.

The match was typically intense and physical, with both sides creating limited clear chances after the equaliser.
