Mbappé confident Real Madrid will win titles in 2026-27

Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappé has expressed confidence that the Spanish giants will return to winning ways and lift major trophies during the 2026-27 season.

Speaking ahead of the new campaign, Mbappé said the squad must remain focused and determined to deliver success for the club’s supporters.

“We have to win and I think this year we’re going to win titles. I’m sure we’re going to come back.

“We’re going to stay focused all year,” Mbappé said.

The comments come after a difficult period for Real Madrid, who endured two consecutive seasons without winning a major domestic or European title.

The club finished second in La Liga in both 2024-25 and 2025-26, while also suffering early exits in the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

Mbappé, who joined Madrid in 2024, remained one of the team’s standout performers despite the lack of silverware.

He finished as La Liga’s leading scorer in his first season with 31 goals and followed that with 25 league goals and 42 across all competitions in 2025-26.

The French striker is now entering his third season at the Santiago Bernabéu and will hope to lead Madrid’s attack under returning manager José Mourinho.

Mourinho, who previously managed the club between 2010 and 2013, has returned on a three-year contract as Real Madrid seek to rebuild and challenge Barcelona for domestic honours.
