A medical report shared by Senator Ned Nwoko about Regina Nwoko has surfaced online, confirming serious substance abuse and a critical health crisis.

The rehabilitation centre involved has clarified it did not release these documents, emphasising the importance of client confidentiality, though they did not deny the reports’ validity.

The reports paint a stark picture. Both the toxicology and Serenity Hospital evaluations show Regina tested positive for multiple substances at dangerous levels, including marijuana, cocaine, morphine, and opiates, with alcohol at a critically harmful level.

The Nizamiya Hospital report dated October 3 reveals she was admitted unconscious following a drug overdose.

The rehabilitation centre disclosed ongoing difficulties in providing effective treatment, citing “persistent interference from her siblings” and openly admitting to continuing to provide alcohol and marijuana despite her rehabilitation process, thus enabling harmful substance use.

This interference is identified as a major barrier preventing her from completing recovery.

Addressing public concern, the Senator firmly believes in the necessity of therapy.

He stated, “Regina’s recent decisions are not coming from a stable and healthy frame of mind. She is vulnerable, unprotected, and exposed to individuals who exploit her for personal gain.”

Her erratic online behaviour confirms her ongoing struggles, showing she “tends to listen more to public voices than to medical professionals or her husband.”

The Senator’s office warns that previous private attempts at intervention failed. Given the severity of her condition and the documented hospital emergency, the question is no longer whether to act but when to act before irreversible harm occurs.

He insists on sustained rehabilitation not just for Regina’s health but for the welfare of her two young sons, who deserve a clear-minded and stable mother.

The statement concluded, “The reports are authentic. Regina needs consistent treatment, support, and protection. Not denial, not interference, and not enabling. She is a mother, and she deserves the chance to regain her health and stability.”

This situation underscores the complex challenges of substance abuse treatment when family dynamics interfere, stressing the importance of respecting medical confidentiality while addressing urgent health needs.
