Lionel Messi has expressed excitement ahead of what will be a historic matchup for the Argentine superstar.

The superstar in an interview on Sunday revealed that the World semi-final against England would be his first ever match with the team he described as “football powerhouse”.

Messi expressed his anticipation saying, “Facing England will be special! It’s my first time playing against England. I’ve played against just about everyone except them.

“They are a great team, a football powerhouse, it’s always exciting to face opponents like that.”
