Mutual Benefits boosts family security with Children Education Plan
Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc
Every parent desires a future where their children enjoy opportunities greater than their own. Reinforcing this vision, Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Limited has restated its dedication to helping families secure quality education for their children through its MUTUAL Children Education Plan.
The education-focused policy is designed to help parents and guardians build long-term financial support for their children’s schooling while providing protection against unforeseen circumstances that could disrupt educational goals.
According to the Managing Director of Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Limited, Mr. Biyi Ashiru-Mobolaji, the product combines structured savings with insurance benefits to ensure children’s education remains protected regardless of life’s challenges.
He explained that the plan enables policyholders to gradually build funds for future school expenses, while also guaranteeing financial support for beneficiaries if the policyholder passes away before the policy matures.
Subscribers are expected to contribute a minimum annual premium over a minimum period of five years. Payment options are flexible, allowing customers to pay annually, bi-annually, quarterly, or monthly, depending on their financial capacity. Contributions also earn annual interest, subject to prevailing market conditions.
The policy mainly provides death cover, ensuring that the intended educational benefits are paid either to the policyholder upon maturity or directed toward the child’s education in the event of the insured’s death.
In addition, customers can enhance their coverage with optional benefits including permanent disability protection, critical illness cover, and accidental medical expense coverage at extra cost.
The plan is available to individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 years. It also offers partial withdrawal options, allowing policyholders to access up to 50 per cent of their account balance after two years.
