Naira hits 1,309.39/$ at official market

The naira exchanged to the dollar at 1,309.39/$ at the official market on Thursday.
Figures obtained by Daily Economy from the official trading platform of the FMDQ revealed that this represented 0.722 per cent or N9.39 fall from the closing rate of N1,300/$ on Wednesday.
Trading on the Investor & Exporter forex window showed that the exchange rate hit a high of 1,392/$ before closing at 1309.39/$ at the official market.
The total market turnover on Thursday stood at $857.78m.
Some Bureau de Change Operators who spoke to Daily Economy said, the naira was bought and sold at 1,255/$ and 1,310/$ at the parallel market on Thursday.
According to the BDCs, Pound Sterling was bought and sold for N1,550/£ and N1,620/£, while the Euro exchanged at N1,300/€ and N1,390.
