The lawmaker, who arrived in a helicopter on Tuesday, was received by a jubilant crowd in Okehi local government area.
Her return comes after the Kogi state government banned public gatherings and rallies over alleged security concerns, on Monday.
Also, the chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Amoka Monday, had also declared a curfew across the council area.
Natasha who addressed her supporters in Ebira language now transcribed to English could be heard saying, “Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira person; this is my land.
“I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.”
The Kogi police command warned her to cancel a planned Eid-el-Fitr celebration rally in the district before her arrival. Despite the speculation, her media team insisted that the visit would go ahead as planned.
Before returning, the senator stated that any violence during the event should be attributed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi state, and former Governor Yahaya Bello.
She posted on Facebook, “My dear people of Kogi Central, I am excited for our peaceful Sallah celebrations today.
“However, if violence occurs, Nigerians should hold Governor Ododo, Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio responsible.”
