Lagos State Police Command has claimed that within 48 hours of launching Operation KO S’AYE — a joint security initiative with the Ogun State Command, officers achieved a major breakthrough along the forest boundary near the J3/J4 axis of Ogbere in Ogun State.

This was made known a statement made available on Sunday by the Lagos Police Command.

Operatives conducting clearance and intelligence-led patrols “successfully rescued five (5) kidnapped victims and neutralised four (4) suspected kidnappers,” the statement said.

It added that they also arrested four kidnapping suspects and 84 other suspects, while recovering arms, ammunition and other exhibits seized from criminal hideouts.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in ensuring there is no hiding place for criminals, especially kidnappers, through intelligence-led operations and sustained security efforts,” the command said, underscoring the operation’s focus on denying forest sanctuaries to criminal networks.

The command concluded its statement with a three-language message emphasizing the mission’s purpose: “Ko S’aye fun iwa odaran. No place for criminalities. The forests are no longer safe havens for criminals.”
