Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has been conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counselling by Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State .
The honour was bestowed during the university’s 43rd Convocation Ceremony held on Saturday, drawing dignitaries, well-wishers, and supporters to the celebratory event.
In her honour, women’s groups, including Rivers Women Unite for SIM led by Sotonye Toby Fult, organised a lively celebration marked by singing and dancing.
In a video Jonathan was seen dancing joyfully with the women to the popular and controversial chant, “Na our mama be this oo…”
Amid the hype, the former First Lady addressed the gathering in her characteristic pidgin English, inviting the women for a group photo, saying, “Make una come. Make we snap, let’s go and eat.”
