The Nigeria Police Force has restated its commitment to proactive and community driven policing, emphasising that true security goes beyond patrolling, it involves listening, accountability, and active partnership with citizens.
As operations continue nationwide, the police assured the public that tactical teams remain active and alert, emergency hotlines are available 24/7, and internal accountability efforts are ongoing to address misconduct within the ranks.
In a statement shared on the Force’s social media account on Sunday, the Force notes, “We know trust is earned, not demanded. We hear your concerns from the nooks and crannies of the country and appreciate the encouragement, too.
“As we continue operations across the country: Our tactical teams are active and alert. Emergency hotlines are operational 24/7. Internal accountability is ongoing—we’re cleaning the house where it’s needed. Should you witness infractions by our operatives, report here and tag #PoliceNG_CRU or call 09169967000.
“This Week’s Focus: Reinforced Patrol & Surveillance. Road Traffic Monitoring scaled up for the upcoming festivity. Improved Community Partnerships to get you more involved in security.
“On this Sunday, we ask for these: Pray for peace. Partner with us. And hold us accountable. Because a safer Nigeria… is a shared duty.”
