Rashford inks 9, 14 to complete tattoo set of every senior shirt he wears

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has added two new tattoos—jersey numbers 9 and 14 to the lineup of shirt numbers inked on his abdomen, completing a personal archive of every senior squad number he has worn at Manchester United and during his 2025–26 loan spell at Barcelona.

He confirmed this with a post shared on Instagram on Friday.

The new additions sit alongside his existing tattoos of United numbers 39, 19 and 10, which he has collected over the years to mark key stages of his career from academy breakthrough to first-team regular.

The number 14 represents his time at Barcelona, where he inherited an iconic shirt previously worn by club legends such as Johan Cruyff and Thierry Henry, while the new 9 reflects his return to Manchester United this summer after being assigned the striker’s number.

Rashford has maintained the practice with Manchester-based artist Dale McGovern, using the tattoos below his ribs as a visual timeline of his journey through different squads and roles.

With the latest update, his body art now reads as a career ledger: 39, 19, 10 and 9 for Manchester United, plus 14 for Barcelona—each number permanently etched to document the shirts that have defined his senior career.
