RB Leipzig has rejected a €100 million proposal from Liverpool for 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Thursday.

Leipzig told Liverpool the offer reportedly structured as €90m guaranteed plus €10m in add-ons — falls short of their valuation.

The German club are aiming “more than €100m” to begin serious talks and are open to offers in the €120–130m range, with the player’s World Cup performances cited as a factor pushing his price up.

“RB Leipzig turn down €100m proposal received from Liverpool for Yan Diomandé,” Romano wrote.

“RB Leipzig want more than €100m as still try to keep him — understand €120m could be the way… for now, based on WC performances too. Leipzig expect PSG and more clubs to join the race. €90m plus €10m from Liverpool not enough.”

Diomandé enjoyed a breakout 2025/26 Bundesliga season after moving to Leipzig from Leganés, scoring 12 goals and providing 9 assists in 33 league appearances.

His versatility and rapid development have made him a priority target as Liverpool begin an attacking rebuild under new manager Andoni Iraola following Mohamed Salah’s exit.

Sources say Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs are likely to enter the race, leaving Leipzig in a position to drive up the fee if they decide to sell.

For now, Leipzig appear reluctant to let the 19-year-old go unless a substantially higher bid arrives.
