Real Madrid have decided to go all out for Enzo Fernández and will open negotiations with Chelsea in the coming days, Spanish daily Diario AS reports.
After concluding that a move for Michael Olise was not possible, Los Blancos turned their attention to the Argentina international, sources say.
The 25-year-old World Cup winner has reportedly told Real Madrid he will do everything he can to facilitate a transfer.
Enzo, signed by Chelsea for a large fee in 2023 is widely expected to command a heavy price tag, with several outlets suggesting Chelsea would seek €100 million or more.
Real Madrid’s manager José Mourinho is said to prioritise keeping experienced midfield options.
Real Madrid have already completed the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea this window, adding momentum to a Chelsea-to-Madrid narrative.
Both clubs are preparing for negotiations in the coming days, with Madrid determined to pursue the Argentine midfielder should terms become acceptable.
