Real Madrid has agreed a new six-year contract with attacking midfielder Arda Güler that will run until June 2032, with all terms accepted and an official announcement expected imminently.

The 20-year-old Turkish international, who joined Madrid from Fenerbahçe in 2023 on a deal originally set to expire in 2029, has overcome early injury setbacks to establish himself as a key creative force under manager José Mourinho.

The extension rewards his rapid development and increased playing time, effectively locking in one of world football’s most promising young talents for the long term.

Club sources indicate Madrid view Güler and England midfielder Jude Bellingham as central pillars of the team’s future.

That long-term planning explains why the Spanish giants did not pursue a major midfield signing last summer, opting instead to back internal options and youth progression.

With the new deal, Güler’s release clause and salary details are expected to be formalised in the coming days, completing a contract upgrade that aligns his status with his growing on-field importance at the Santiago Bernabéu.
