In a rare show of unity between El Clásico rivals, Real Madrid has expressed its condolences to FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick over the passing of his father on Sunday.

The Spanish giants issued a heartfelt statement on their official channels noting, “Real Madrid C. F., its president, and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of the father of Hansi Flick, coach of F. C. Barcelona.

“Real Madrid wishes to express its condolences and affection to his family and all his loved ones. Rest in peace.”

Real Madrid’s English official account echoed the message, emphasising the club’s, president’s, and board’s deep regret while extending sympathies to Flick and his loved ones.
