In a dramatic Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge, newly promoted Sunderland secured a stunning 2-1 victory over Chelsea thanks to Chemsdine Talbi’s last-gasp goal in the 94th minute.
Chelsea took an early lead when Alejandro Garnacho netted his first goal for the club with a brilliant solo effort.
Sunderland equalised through Wilson Isidor, who capitalised on a defensive lapse following a long throw to score his fourth goal this season.
Despite appearing to settle for a draw in the second half, Sunderland capitalised on Chelsea’s push for a winner.
Substitute Brian Brobbery held up play before setting up Talbi, who struck from the edge of the box to complete Sunderland’s first away win of the campaign.
The victory propels Sunderland to second place in the Premier League table, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.
Chelsea, meanwhile, fall to seventh place, overtaken by Tottenham.
