TG Omori reveals reason for using opening kiss in Seyi Vibez’s “Hat-Trick” video

Director TG Omori has revealed that the opening kiss in Seyi Vibez’s “Hat-Trick” music video, released three years ago was a calculated provocation designed to spark conversation.

Responding to an anniversary reminder about the song on X, Omori notes that the moment was an intentional attention-grabbing device.

“The kiss was intentionally used to open the video and we made to be annoying and tough,” he said, adding that he expected it to “give the video all the attention it needed at the time, be it good or bad.”

He noted the choice has had lasting impact, “and yes 3years after they still talking about it.”
