Tinubu appoints Sunday Dare special adviser

President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Orientation.

The appointment was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday, by the Presidency.

It reads, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has approved the immediate implementation of eight far-reaching actions to reinvigorate the Administration’s capacity for optimal efficiency pursuant to his commitment to deliver on his promises to Nigerians.”

Prior to his new appointment, Dare served as the Minister of Sports and Youths Development during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reacting to the appointment, Dare expressed confidence to serve Tinubu in his new capacity.

He wrote on X (formally Twitter), “I sincerely thank my Leader and the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for once again, reposing his confidence in him.

“I will always be proud to serve you and Nigeria again and again. Thank you, Mr President.“

Dailyeconomy had earlier reported that Tinubu sacked five ministers, and nominated seven ministers.
