Tinubu hails Lawal as renaissance governor on birthday, cites schools, industrial push

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, on his birthday, describing him as a “Renaissance governor” whose multi-sectoral reforms are reshaping the state.

In a press release issued on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu singled out Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his industrialisation efforts, as key markers of positive change in Zamfara.

“The President particularly acknowledges Governor Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, as well as his industrialisation effort in the state,” the statement read.

Beyond roads and public works, the President commended the governor for prioritising human capital development, noting the rehabilitation of more than 800 schools, the recruitment of over 2,000 teachers, and the upgrade of hospitals with new medical supplies across the state.

Tinubu, who has consistently advocated for well-rounded development, said Lawal’s governance model aligns with the federal push for balanced growth across sectors.

“President Tinubu, a strong proponent of well-rounded development, says Governor Lawal’s multi-sectoral approach to governance is the right step toward holistic development, especially in human capital development,” the release stated.

As Lawal marks his birthday on September 2, the President joined the governor’s family, friends, and the people of Zamfara in wishing him “good health and renewed strength” as he continues to serve the state and the nation.

The statement concluded, “As the governor celebrates this occasion, the President joins family, friends, and the good people of Zamfara to wish him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the nation.”
