President Bola Tinubu has unleashed the full might of Nigeria’s security apparatus against terrorists behind the brutal Kasuwan Daji attack in Niger State, directing top military and intelligence leaders to track, capture, and prosecute the perpetrators without mercy.
In a statement issued Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commanded the Minister of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, Inspector-General of Police, and Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to hunt down those responsible for the killings and abductions.
The attack, which claimed villagers’ lives, is reportedly linked to terrorists fleeing Sokoto and Zamfara after a U.S. airstrike on Christmas Eve.
Tinubu also mandated an urgent rescue operation for all abducted women and children, while condemning the violence in the strongest terms.
He extended heartfelt condolences to victims’ families, the Niger State government, and its people.
“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must, therefore, face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down,” the President declared.
Security agencies received orders to ramp up operations in vulnerable areas, especially near forests used as criminal hideouts.
Tinubu rallied Nigerians to unite against the threat, warning against divisive talk that weakens national resolve.
“These times demand our humanity. We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison. United, we can and must defeat them, deny them any sanctuary. We must reclaim the peace and security of these attacked communities,” he added.
