Ajax has secured Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare on a season‑long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the Dutch club covering the player’s full salary and paying a loan fee.
Under the agreement, Ajax hold a non‑mandatory buy option of €22 million for Arokodare.
Wolves will also receive additional bonuses tied to Ajax qualifying for European competitions during the loan period.
Arokodare, 25, joined Wolves from Genk in 2025 and is moving to Amsterdam following Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League.
The forward arrives hoping for regular minutes and to boost Ajax’s attacking options as they compete on domestic and continental fronts.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed key terms of the move, “Loan with salary fully covered by Ajax, €22m buy option clause not mandatory. Loan fee also included. Wolves to receive bonuses based on Ajax qualification for European competitions.”
Ajax and Wolves have not disclosed the financial details officially.
