United States President Donald Trump, has ignited a firestorm of reactions with a cheeky Truth Social post featuring a doctored Wikipedia-style image of himself as the “Acting President of Venezuela.”
The altered profile page swaps in Trump’s official portrait alongside fake details claiming he’s held the “incumbent” role since January 2026.
It lists this alongside his real titles as the 45th and 47th U.S. President, blending satire with his ongoing influence in Venezuelan affairs.
The post arrives amid heightened U.S. involvement in Venezuela’s turmoil.
Just days earlier, in early January, American forces launched a military intervention that captured former leader Nicolás Maduro.
Trump has repeatedly insisted the U.S. must oversee Venezuela’s transition to counter election fraud, socialism, and instability.
On January 5, US oil majors rocketed higher following the US-led deposition of Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro, Dailyeconomy reports.
