US debunks Iranian claims of striking US warship

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected Iranian state media reports of a missile strike on a US Navy vessel, amid escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a “FACT CHECK” post, CENTCOM stated, “TRUTH: No U.S. Navy ships have been struck. U.S. forces are supporting Project Freedom and enforcing the naval blockade on Iranian ports.”
The denial counters Monday claims by Iranian media that IRGC missiles hit a US warship near Jask Island, forcing its retreat after warnings.
