The coalition has reportedly selected former Senate President David Mark as interim national chairman of the ADC, signaling a unified front by opposition forces including PDP stalwarts and other party leaders to contest the 2027 general elections.

The meeting focused on whether PDP members will fully merge into the ADC coalition or maintain their PDP positions while forming an electoral alliance, with key figures like Uche Secondus, Aminu Tambuwal, and Liyel Imoke in attendance.

It was gathered that the strategic coalition, centered on the ADC, is set for formal unveiling soon, as opposition leaders intensify efforts to build a broad alliance to unseat the incumbent administration in the next general election cycle.

These developments mark a significant reshaping of Nigeria’s opposition landscape as the 2027 elections approach, highlighting a coordinated strategy among PDP heavyweights and allied parties to challenge the ruling APC government.
