Held at the Abuja Continental Hotel and organised by the National Political Consultative Group (North), the event was momentarily thrown into disarray due to a conflict over who should represent Jigawa State.
Tensions escalated when former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, called a delegate to speak on Jigawa’s behalf.
In response, a group of Jigawa delegates surged to the stage, obstructing the speaker and rejecting the chosen representative.
As the situation grew more intense, security personnel, including the Nigerian Police, DSS agents, and private security, quickly intervened to protect key figures such as Atiku and Amaechi from the escalating turmoil.
