Video: Davido reveals Mayorkun, Fola owned ‘B4 B4’ before giving him for album

Nigerian superstar, David Adeleke alias Davido has revealed that his hit track “B4 B4” was not originally his, saying the song first belonged to Mayorkun and Fola before they handed it to him as he was putting together his album Oriadé.
The singer made the disclosure in a live stream with streamer Cater Efe, drawing widespread attention from fans.
“B4 B4” is one of the standout songs on Davido’s July 31, 2026 album Oriadé, featuring Davido, Mayorkun and Fola.
The collaboration has been widely praised for the chemistry between the three artistes and has also posted strong streaming numbers, including topping Apple Music Nigeria’s chart shortly after release.
In the clip, Davido said Mayorkun reached out with the record and later allowed him to keep it for his album, a revelation that has further fueled conversations about collaboration and support among Nigerian stars.
The song also marks a notable reunion between Davido and former DMW signee Mayorkun, who left the label in 2021.
