An Enugu Air aircraft operating into Benin Airport veered off the runway after landing on Thursday, the airline has confirmed.
In an official statement, Enugu Air said one of its flights experienced a “runway excursion” shortly after touchdown.
The airline moved quickly to reassure the public that the incident resulted in no injuries.
“We confirm that all passengers and crew have safely disembarked and there were no injuries or casualties,” the statement read.
The aircraft has been secured, and aviation authorities have been notified. An assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances is currently underway.
“As a result, there may be temporary adjustments to some flight schedules. Passengers affected by any changes will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance,” Enugu Air added.
The airline emphasised that passenger safety remains its top priority and promised further updates through official channels.
No details on the cause of the excursion or the extent of damage to the aircraft were immediately released.
