In a groundbreaking achievement for Ogun State, the first-ever commercial flight departed this morning from Gateway International Airport (GWI), marking a new era in the state’s transportation history.

The flight landed safely in Abuja just 45 minutes later, demonstrating the success of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s visionary multimodal transport Masterplan.

Shortly after departure, confirmation arrived that the flight had already reached Abuja, underscoring the efficiency of this milestone journey.

With this historic flight, Ogun State launches a new chapter as the “Gateway to the World.”
