Ibadan came alive on Sunday night, as Davido’s 5ive Alive Tour set a new record by attracting over 25,000 fans to the Liberty Stadium.

The concert was one of the biggest live music events in the city’s history, with some estimates suggesting upwards of 30,000 people tried to attend, creating an electric and chaotic atmosphere.

The event marked the Ibadan stop of Davido’s Nigerian tour supporting his 2025 album 5IVE.

Fans enjoyed high-energy performances of hits like “Unavailable,” “Fall,” “With You” and more, alongside local talents such as Keanzo and Fabulous Pizzy.

Special guests like BBNaija’s Jason Jae (Jae Jae) made surprise appearances, adding to the excitement.

Supported by the Oyo State Government with extensive security and free ticket distribution, the concert ran smoothly despite large, enthusiastic crowds.

The show energised local businesses and showcased Davido’s enduring influence as an Afrobeats icon.

Fans across Southwest Nigeria and beyond are eagerly awaiting the tour’s grand finale in Lagos on December 25 at Eko Hotel.

Davido summed up the night’s energy via X on Monday, writing, “IB CITY WOW!!!!”
