Video released overnight appears to show Iranian ballistic missiles launched at a U.S. military base in the region, with state-linked accounts saying the action was taken “in response to American aggression launched from this base against the outskirts of Bandar Abbas.”
The footage, shared widely on social media on Thursday, shows several missile launches at night and includes captions quoting Iranian officials who described the strikes as “a serious warning so that the enemy knows aggression will not go unanswered, and if repeated, our response will be more decisive.”
Iranian outlets said the launches targeted a U.S. facility in the Middle East but did not provide confirmation of damage or casualties.
The purported attack comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran in 2026.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has said it recently intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile fired toward Kuwait following American strikes on Iranian missile sites and small boats near the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. and allied forces have carried out operations in the region in response to what they describe as a rising pattern of threats and attacks linked to Iran and Iran-aligned groups.
U.S. have not confirmed whether the base shown in the videos was struck or whether any U.S. personnel were harmed.
