Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab disclosed this in a video shared on X (formally Twitter) handle on Sunday.
This action is part of the State’s broader efforts to restore drainage channels and ensure a flood-free environment ahead of the rainy season.
The government is committed to enforcing drainage right-of-way regulations and restoring critical drainage infrastructure to mitigate flood risks across Lagos.
Accompanying the video with a caption, Wahab wrote, “Operatives of Drainage Maintenance Department from Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources continued with the maintenance dredging of China Town channel in Kosofe LGA prevent flooding in the axis.”
