In a clip from his #WithChude interview, NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi accused the federal government of deliberately frustrating his businesses and personal affairs as part of a broader campaign of targeted persecution against opposition figures.
“The way they’re going now, I might not even be alive soon. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is frustrating it deliberately so.
“The government is attacking me personally, they won’t come directly and say we’re doing this but you could see their hands in everything, attacking everyone who is in opposition party. They’re not even providing me with things I should be entitled to,” Obi said.
Obi told host Chude that the pressure extends beyond economic measures to threats against his personal safety, and that he and other opposition members face indirect state interference that blocks their livelihoods and denies statutory entitlements.
