Brazilian football legend, Ronaldinho has returned to professional football at the age of 46 after signing for Italian Serie C side Ravenna FC, 11 years after his last competitive appearance.

The former Barcelona, AC Milan and Brazil star arrived at Forlì Airport on Thursday ahead of his official unveiling at Marina di Ravenna.

The presentation, scheduled for the beach on August 20, is expected to attract thousands of supporters.

Ronaldinho’s move to Ravenna was first announced in June by club owner Ignazio Cipriani.

The agreement reportedly makes him a registered player, co-investor and ambassador as part of the club’s international expansion plans.

The 2005 Ballon d’Or winner has expressed his desire to return to the pitch for an official match and score what he hopes will be the final goal of his career in a Ravenna shirt.

However, Ronaldinho is not expected to feature in Ravenna’s opening Serie C match against Reggio Emilia, while the timing of his competitive debut remains unclear.

The Brazilian’s return has generated significant excitement in Italy, with Ravenna using the former superstar’s global popularity to promote the club and attract international attention.
